PURPOSE:To raise the sensitivity without increasing the noise of a chrominance signal by constituting a circuit with a complementary color filter type solid-state image pickup part, a luminance signal processing circuit, a color difference signal part, and an averaging part which averages color difference signals obtained from the color difference signal part and corresponding to plural fields. CONSTITUTION:When the color difference signal of a chrominance signal reproducing circuit 13 is inputted to a white balance circuit 14, the color difference signal is subjected to color temperature compensation and is added to a luminance signal Y from a luminance signal processing circuit 12. Consequently, color difference signals R-Y and B-Y to which the luminance signal is added are outputted from the white balance circuit 14, and two kinds of color difference signals R-Y and B-Y are supplied to color difference average value circuits 16 and 17 alternately through a line switching circuit 15. Color difference signals Y-R and B-Y are processed in color difference value circuits 16 and 17 so that their average values in plural fields are obtained. The number of fields of the color difference signal after the averaging processing is reduced considerably to 1/6 of the normal number. |
