PURPOSE:To obtain a high-sensitivity layer-built electrophotographic sensitive body of less fatigue by using a diazo, trisazo, or tetraazo pigment as an electric charge carrier generating material and executing production of this pigment and generation of a dispersing liquid under irradiation of ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:An amine expressed with general formula A(-NH2)n (n is an integer >=2 and <=4) is diazotized, tetraazotized, or hexazotized under irradiation of ultrasonic waves, and the coupling reaction between this amine and various couplers is executed under irradiation of ultrasonic waves, and the synthesized pigment is washed and dispersed under irradiation of ultrasonic waves. The dispersing liquid in this invention has a good dispersibility of the pigment and a good dispersion stability without a surface active agent neither a special processing because penetration of impurities into crystals is reduced by azo coupling under irradiation of ultrasonic waves and minute crystals are attained and the affinity for an binder is excellent as the result. |
