The patent application concerns a supporting system for electric suspension railways. According to the invention, provision is made for first indentations to be arranged directly beside the web of the running rail and in each case a second indentation of the same cross-section running parallel thereto to be arranged towards the outside, for each clamping device to have two tongues assigned to the first and second indentations, and for the clamping devices to be screwed to the suspension bows. The invention advantageously makes it possible to obtain movability between the suspension bow and the clamping device. Adaptations of the height position of the rail are thus possible between rail and clamping device. This can be carried out by changing the position of the screwed connection which connects the suspension bow to the clamping devices. The suspension bows can remain in their position. The effort is thereby reduced. The clamping devices, to be attached to the running rail at the top and bottom, are expediently of identical design. This is advantageous for the manufacturing, assembly and maintenance.
