<p>A flexible hose suitable for use in seawater contains a small amount of copper dust in its elastomeric cover. The copper dust, even though present in a small amount, inhibits marine growth on the hose and prevents marine creatures boring very far into the hose. The hose is particularly suitable for the transportation of corrosive fluid such as crude oil.</p> |
