PURPOSE:To modify a program extremely easily in a short time by taking an alternative memory for a P-ROM, and substituting the program part of a fixed memory with a sector unit by means of the program part written in the P-ROM. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when a sub-routine XEE such as a table 1 is stored in the program area of the fixed memory 5, and a code at a 6530 address has an error, it is modified to 6530 OUT 41, AL. First, in which sector of the program area of the fixed memory 5, the program address to be modified lies is calculated. In such a case, a table 2 shows the value, and accordingly the code at 6530 address to be modified is within the sector CA. As a result the sector CA of the fixed memory 5 is substituted with the initial sector '0' of the alternative memory 9 in the P-ROM, for instance.
