PURPOSE:To assure the safe operation of a hot hydrostatic press treatment which maintains adequately the differential pressure between the inside and outside of a capsule with a regulating pipeline contg. a material to be treated by making the specific operation when the above- mentioned differential pressure attains the min. limiting value. CONSTITUTION:The capsule 12 contg., for example, a molding 13 of a mixture composed of carbon and tar pitch is hermetically fixed in a furnace chamber 7. The pressure P1 in the capsule is fluctuated by the pressure of the gaseous component generated by the decomposition of the tar pitch when a gaseous pressure medium is filled in the chamber and is heated up and the therefore the pressure P2 of the gaseous pressure medium is maintained higher than P1 to compress the molding 13. The differential pressure (P2-P1) is compared with a set value and is maintained at an adequate level for the above-mentioned purpose. The min. limiting value of the differential pressure is set and the throwing of the electric power to an electric heating body is interrupted by the signal from a processor provided with a differential pressure detecting and comparing function such as detector 28 which receives the signals from pressure gages 19, 20 when the above-mentioned differential pressure decreases considerably in the heating up process. A stop valve 22 is opened at the same time to release the cracking gas in the capsule through the regulating pipeline 14 to the external atmosphere. The gaseous pressure medium is also released if there is abnormality in the capsule. |
