PURPOSE:To greatly enhance the reliability of a hermetic seal at the end portion of a ribbed electrode, by cutting the contact surface of the end portion of the ribbed electrode on a matrix of a thermoplastic film to expose the basic material of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:The end portion of the side of a ribbed electrode 2, on which grooves 21 are not provided, is cut by a cutting tool 6. It is preferable that the depth of the cutting increases inwards from the end of the side of the electrode 2. A thermoplastic film 4 is cut off by the cutting so that the basic material 5 of the electrode 2 is exposed. The film 4 is cut off to such an extent that the luster of the film is lost and carbon fibers constituting the basic material 5 of the electrode 2 appear with ruggedness. As a result, the quantity of leak is much reduced. |
