PURPOSE:To prolong the life to vacuum degree being maintained and to improve productivity by using stainless steel for the inner cylinder of a vacuum heat- insulated container and a plate of copper for an end surface where an infrared detecting element is fitted, and welding the both together with an electron beam. CONSTITUTION:The plate 2' of copper is welded airtightly to the end surface of the inner cylinder 2 made of stainless steel with an electron beam and a package 7 where the infrared detecting element 6 is fixed is fitted onto the plate 2'. Further, a metallic flange 4 is fitted to the opposite end surface of said inner cylinder 2 and an outer cylinder 3 is welded airtightly thereto with an electron beam. Further, a window 5 through which infrared rays are transmitted is fitted to the opening end surface of the outer cylinder 3 to form the vacuum heat-insulated container 1 for maintaining low temperatures. Consequently, the atmosphere of the infrared detecting element 6 is held at low vacuum temperatures, and the performance and reliability are improved. |
