PURPOSE:To improve the hermetic sealing of an electricity generation assembly, by providing a three-layer sealing assembly. CONSTITUTION:A frame-shaped thermally-adhesive film 12 is fuse-bonded to the peripheral portion of a negative electrode terminal plate 11 so that the film projects by a prescribed width from the periphery of the terminal plate. A frame-shaped thermally-adhesive film 12' similar to the film 12 is provided on the peripheral portion of a positive electrode terminal plate 13 so that the periphery of the film 12' coincides with that of the terminal plate 13. A frame- shaped sealing electric insulator 14 is provided on the film 12'. An electricity generation assembly 18, in which a positive electrode sheet 17 is provided on a separator 15 on a positive electrode depolarizing mix sheet 16, is provided on the positive electrode terminal plate 13 so that the sheet 16 is located in contact with the positive electrode terminal plate. The negative electrode terminal plate 11 is disposed over the sealing insulator 14 so that the film 12 coincides with the insulator. The thermally-adhesive films 12, 12' are fuse-bonded to the sealing electric insulator 14. The electricity generation assembly 18 is thus hermetically sealed by a three-layer sealing assembly 19. |
