PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized and lightweight machine tool drivable at speeds from a low speed to a high speed and expand its usage by providing a motor capable of starting, stopping and speed-changing via an NC program and connected to each main shaft with a belt on the ram provided at the top of a column fitted with a table. CONSTITUTION:A machining table 2 and a ram 3 are fitted to a column 1, the table 2 can be moved to the left and right horizontally and up and down vertically, the ram 3 is fitted at the top of the column 1 movably back and forth horizontally, and the movement of the table 2 and the ram 3 is controlled by an NC unit 4. The interface 18 of tools is formed in a straight shape, thus enabling the setting of all tools. The stepless speed change of a motor 7 can be set by the direct command from the NC program, an optional main shaft 6 can be started or stopped and the rotating speed of the main shaft can be changed between 0- 15,000rpm, and the rotating range of the main shaft 6 can be selected via the selection of the pulley ratio because of the transmission by a belt 8. Furthermore, the weight of the motor is borne by the column, thus it can be made small-sized and lightweight. |
