摘要 PURPOSE:To detect ethanol component with good selectivity and high accuracy, by providing a pH electrode, which is constituted by forming an acetic acid bacteria immobilized membrane to the surface of the gate of an ion responsive electric field effect type transistor, in a gas permeable membrane cell. CONSTITUTION:The side surface of a cell 1 is formed of a gas permeable membrane 5 and a buffer solution 2 is received in the cell 1. A pH electrode 4 is constituted by fixing an acetic acid bacteria immobilized membrane 7 on an ion responsive electric field effect type transistor 6 and a reference electrode 3 is provided in the cell. Ethanol in the solution outside the cell 1 is passed through the gas permeable membrane 5 to be transferred to the cell 1. The acetic acid bacteria immobilized membrane contains alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase and decomposes ethanol with good selectivity to change pH and the change in pH is detected electrically. Because the acetic acid bacteria immobilized membrane is used, ethanol can be detected with good selectivity even if methanol coexists and the sensor can be miniaturized.
