<p>PURPOSE:To realize a thermal dot with higher density, by a method wherein a plurality of electrodes are respectively formed in pairs on a side edge of a thermal resistor and the other side edge thereof, and a higher electric power is supplied between the surface electrodes on the surface of the resistor than that supplied between electrodes in pairs. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of first electrodes 3 so formed as to be laid over a side edge of a resistor 2 and a plurality of second electrodes 4 so formed as to be laid over the other side thereof are disposed in pairs and opposedly with each other. On the other hand, surface electrodes 5 are so formed on the surface of the resistor 2 as to be disposed between the electrodes 3 and 4. A higher electric power than that supplied between the electrodes 3 and 4 for printing is supplied between the adjacent surface electrodes, resulting in the higher resistivity of resistor portions 2A between the surface electrodes 5 than that of the other portion. As a result, the respective surface electrodes 5, i.e. the adjacent resistor portions across resistor portions 2B between the electrodes 3 and 4 in pairs, are made nearly open with each other. After that, the surface electrodes 5 are removed by selective etching.</p> |
