PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of deterioration due to oxidation polymerization and adhesion of tar to a wick, by a method wherein a velocity of flow is provided for kerosene flowing below the sucking-up body of an evaporation type kerosene heater, kerosene except the reliably evaporated kerosene is prevented from exposure to a high temperature for a long time to recover it to a tank. CONSTITUTION:Kerosene in a tank 11 is pumped up to a circulating passage 10 with the aid of a pump 12, and is returned to the tank 11 through a return pipe 14 after flowing through the bottom of the circulating passage by a down gradient. A sucking-up body 9 made of heat resistant fiber sucks up the kerosene in the circulating passage 10 through capillarity and is evaporated by a heat generating body 8, the air from a fan 15 being supplied to burn the kerosene in a burner 17. This causes production of the flow of the kerosene below the sucking-up body 9, resulting in prevention of the kerosene from an increase in temperature and production of a change of properties. Further, since the force of the flow within the circulating passage 10 of the kerosene is added to the capillarity, a sucking-up force is increased, and an evaporating amount is further increased by 20% than that of a stationary type.
