PURPOSE:To spread a film of liquid droplets into axial direction of the tube to increase heat transfer performance and permit to support the tube surely by a method wherein the heat transfer tube is formed by ribbed tube and straight tube, having an outer diameter larger than the maximum outer diameter of the ribbed tube and having no rib, while both of the are connected alternately. CONSTITUTION:The heat transfer tube 3 is formed by the ribbed tube 3b, having ribs 20a discontinuously with respect to the circumferential direction and provided with long length in the axial direction of the tube, and the straight tube 3a, having an outer diameter larger than the maximum outer diameter of the ribbed tube 3b and having no rib, while both tubes are connected alternately. According to this constitution, the heat transfer tube 3 may be supported surely by the straight tube by only inserting the tube into a hole on a tube plate or a support plate. On the other hand, water droplets adhered to the heat transfer tube 3 do not drop quickly to the direction of the bottom of tube under being bothered by respective ribs 20a and a damped section of the tube spreads into axial direction of the tube while turbulence is generated in the flow of fluid, dropping into the direction of bottom of the tube under riding over the ribs 20a, whereby the performance of heat transfer and absorption of the tube may be improved.
