PURPOSE:To prevent mixing error and extra error property by having a polishing layer contain conductive fine powder for preventing a flexible magnetic disk from being charged thereby to prevent dust on the surface of the magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:A polishing layer 2 is formed on a polishing tape substrate 1 composed of a polyester film. The polishing layer 2 contains conductive fine powder (for example, carbon black, titanium black) as well as polishing particles, binder, and dispersing agent. The conductive fine powder prevents a flexible magnetic disk from being charged reliably while it is polished by the polishing tape.
