<p>PURPOSE:To enable a thermal dot to have higher density, supplying an electric power by just sufficient amount to rise the resistivity between adjacent discrete electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A common electrode 3 and a plurality of discrete electrodes 4 are so formed as to be over a side edge of a resistor 2 and the other side edge thereof respectively. In this case, the adjacent electrodes can be disposed adequately close with each other because of no opportunity for laying the other electrode over the electrodes 4. When the electric power, which is sufficiently higher than that supplied between the common electrode 3 and the discrete electrodes 4 for printing, is supplied between the adjacent discrete electrodes 4, resistor portions 2A between the discrete electrodes 4 become sufficiently higher than the other portion in resistivity. In this manner, the each condition between the discrete electrodes 4 results in being made nearly open by making the resistor portions 2A with higher resistivity. Accordingly, even if an electric power is supplied between the common electrode 3 and the discrete electrodes 4 when printing, heat generation of only resistor portions 2B between the electrodes 3 and 4 is possible.</p> |
