PURPOSE:To decrease the magnetic resistance of joint surfaces and to prevent the decrease of the efficiency of a magnetic head by joining by forming a thin magnetic metallic film on the joint surfaces between an upper laminated core and rear core of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic metallic film 10 consisting of 'Sendust(R)', amorphous or 'Permalloy(R)' is formed by a known thin film technique only on the surfaces of the half cores 7, 8 to be adhered to the rear core 4. The thin magnetic metallic film 10 is formed on the joint surfaces of the front laminated core 3 and rear core 4 joined with the right and left half cores 7, 8 at the gap and therefore the film 10 and the magnetic metallic material 2 of the core 3 are magnetically united and a large contact area is obtainable with the core 4 and the material 2 via the film 10. The magnetic resistance is thus decreased and the efficiency of the magnetic head is improved.
