PURPOSE:To combine firmly with high accuracy a cam piece and shaft end member at the prescribed position of a hollow shaft by fitting inside a metal die the shaft end member with its outer fitting at both ends by inserting the cam piece into the hollow shaft and by increasing the diameter of the hollow shaft with bulging. CONSTITUTION:A cam piece 3 and journal piece 6 are inserted into the prescribed position of a hollow shaft 2 and in succession shaft end members 4, 5 are fitted out to the shaft end of the hollow shaft. It is then set inside bulging metal dies 20, 21 and subjected to a closing with the pressing in the arrow mark direction. Then it is pressed with compression in a closing state by pouring an emulsion, etc. into the hollow shaft 2. The whole length of the hollow shaft 2 is then reduced and expanded to the external part as well and plastically deformed along each inner peripheral face of the cam piece 3, journal piece 6 and shaft end member and the die face of the bulging metal die and the shaft 1 fixed to the hollow shaft 2 is completed. |
