PURPOSE:To permit homogeneous heating, in which a temperature difference between the surface and the inner portion of a food to be heated is small, by heating the food sequentially through a control unit employing a cooking sensor. CONSTITUTION:The supply of electricity for a high-frequency generating means 9, connected to a heating chamber 6 in which the food to be heated 7 is put, is controlled by a control unit 5 while the heating condition of the food is detected by the cooking sensor 11. When a key 4 commanding de-icing cooking of the refrigerated food, is operated the control unit 5 effects the half of cooking from the de-icing by some output of high-frequency and when the detecting value of the cooking sensor 11 has arrived at first threshold value, the output of high-frequency is reduced for a predetermined period of time or a period of time based on said detecting time and heating is continued repeatedly. Subsequently, the output of high-frequency is increased again and the food is heated until the detecting value of the cooking sensor 11 arrives at the second threshold value. As a result, homogeneous heating, in which a temperature difference between the surface and the inner portion of the food is small, may be effected.
