PURPOSE:To provide an image-receiving paper for a melt transfer type thermal transfer paper free of overflow of an ink and having high resolution of transferred images, by using an image-receiving paper provided with a coated layer comprising mainly a water-soluble adhesive, a porous pigment and non-porous particles. CONSTITUTION:The image-receiving paper used in combination with a thermal transfer recording sheet provided with a heat-fusible ink layer is provided with a coated layer comprising a nonionic water-soluble adhesive having a low polymerization degree of not more than 1,000, a porous pigment having an oil absorption (JIS-K5101) of 30-200ml/100g and non-porous particles as main constituents. The non-porous particles have an average particle diameter of 3-25mum, and are formed on at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyethylene resin, a polystyrene resin, an ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer and a vinyl chloride resin. |
