PURPOSE:To realize performance of minute adjustment of an axial gap between element for minute adjustment and bottom of a base plate by pressing said element uniformly into a guide groove, with taper-like section, provided on the end face of a volute side plate for a scroll. CONSTITUTION:Each volute side plate 101, 201 of a fixed scroll 1 and a rocking scroll 2 is formed projectingly from base plate faces 102, 202 respectively. An element 6 for minute adjustment with volute similar to that of the volute side plates 101, 201 is formed along end faces of said side plates 101, 201. This element 6 for minute adjustment is pressed into a tapered guide groove 5, the axial section of which is formed to have larger groove width at an opening than at the bottom. By adjusting the depth of pressing mentioned above, a gap between each end of the element 6 for minute adjustment and the bottom face of each base plate 102, 202 can be adjusted minutely. Accordingly, dispersion of precision of construction is excluded and the minute gap can be adjusted to the required minimum.
