PURPOSE:To attain the quick response of an IC card by providing a read-only terminal in addition to a terminal necessary for reading and writing information. CONSTITUTION:When the card is inserted, a space between rollers 14 and 12 and that between rollers 11 and 13 are released to charge a capacitor 18. When the capacitor is charged, the control system of a terminal equipment closes the drive switch of a roller rotating motor due to the voltage, and a clock pulse is outputted to a roller 15. The card is automatically fed to contact the next roller, and the clock pulse of the roller 15 is impressed to an electrode 3. Then information in a memory is repeatedly read out of an electrode 2, supplied to the CPU of the terminal through a roller 17, and read. When continu ously read-out results in a short cycle are equal plural times, checking is consid ered to be right. When the card is separated from the rollers 11-14, the part of an electrode 5 shorts the rollers 11-13, whereby the capacitor is shorted and discharged. |
