PURPOSE:To make effective use of shearing heat accompanied with the increased extrusion rate of a screw by using a cylinder with polygonal or nearly polygonal shape to a definite range for transportation of solid matter near a material supply port. CONSTITUTION:Pelletized resin 10 supplied from material supply port 4 is stored fully between a screw 7 and a cylinder 5. If the screw is rotated, the resin also is rotated together. But since the wall surface of the cylinder 5 is not circular, motion to the rotation direction of the screw is restrained and one portion of the resin slides on the screw surface in the flow direction and rotates with the screw 7 and the other is restrained on the side of the cylinder 5. Therefore, a shearing surface is prepared and the resin is mixed uniformly to be sent forward. As the shearing surface is renewed the resin is heated uniformly. |
