PURPOSE:To promote utilization of chicks for feed and obtain a pet food having improved nutritive value, freshness, etc., by boiling and depilating chicks, and then quickly freezing the depilated chicks in a short time, milling the resultant frozen chicks, and boiling or steaming the milled chicks under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:Chicks are first boiled and depilated and then depilated chick bodies are quickly frozen to carry out the treatment ranging from the depilation of feathers to the freezing in 20-50min. The frozen blocks of the chicks are then finely cut and milled to give a fine paste form. The resultant pasty chicks are then boiled or steamed while heating and the heating is stopped when the chicken temperature reaches 45-75 deg.C. |
