PURPOSE:To obtain a mirror scanning device which is reduced in play, vibration, abrasion, etc., and has superior strength, etc., with simple constitution by supporting a support member pivotally on a moving table of rigid structure, and supporting it on both runners and moving the support member on a rail. CONSTITUTION:The 1st mirror 6 for printing is moved to make a scan by driving the moving table 11 of rigid structure which holds it by a driving mechanism 32 at a specific speed. The moving table 11 moves while supported on its one side at two points on rail 26 by both runners 27 of the support member 22 capable of rocking up and down. Both runners 27, therefore, move while pressed securely against the surfaces of the rail 26 through the weight of the 1st mirror 6 for printing, the operation of other loads, and proper and free oscillatory displacement. Therefore, the majority of the plate of the moving table 11 due to an unavoidable error in parts precision is absorbed and reduced. On the other hand, the oscillation of the runners 27 due to fine dust, flaw, etc., on the surface of the rail 26, i.e. the quantity of oscillation and the quantity of vertical movement are transmitted while reduced in amplitude to half by the mirror 6.
