Device enabling cycle tyres fitted with a mudguard to be cleaned and scraped as they rotate and move, in order to avoid, as far as possible, puncturing the said tyres, the cleaning and scraping being performed at the instant desired by the user, after having ridden over gravel, broken glass, sharp or cutting objects, which may be fastened to or embedded in the tread strip. The device comprises a system formed of a handle 1 conventional to the cycle industry, the displacement of which imparts a translational movement to a cable 2, conventional to the cycle, which slides in its sheath 3 and by traction displaces in a box a lever 5 mounted on a pin 6, the said box 7 being fixed by two screws to the mudguard. The oscillating lever compresses a return spring 8 whilst pushing towards the tyre the flexible steel plate 9 to which there is fixed a metal brush 10. The lever is fitted at its base with an adjusting screw 10 making it possible to move the metal brush as close as possible to the tyre. <IMAGE>
