The subject of the invention relates to an infrared gas analyser with a "solid-state" sensor and synchronous demodulation. It is characterised by the spectral absorption of the infrared energy coming from a beam emitted by a single source; this absorption at two separate wavelengths which are sufficiently close together to cause equipotential excitation of a pyroelectric detector 3 with a wide spectral band and having a set of elements formed by the novel combination of a rotary filter-carrying modulator 1, a sensor 3, a measurement cell 8 and an infrared emitter 7. It is intended for the analysis of polyatomic and similar vapours or gases. <IMAGE>
