PURPOSE:To eliminate the slip, disaligning and deformation in a thin wire feeding with satisfactory rectilinear accuracy by using an elastic material for a chucking portion of each plate chuck and providing a thin wire passing hole projecting more than other portions to apply pressure to said material. CONSTITUTION:After a thin wire 2' is inserted through respective thin wire passing holes 10, 10' of front and rear plate chucks 4, 4', the upper side plate 4a of the rear side plate chuck 4' is lowered by a vertical air cylinder 5' to press a projecting portion 11' of an elastic material plate 9' and chuck the thin wire 2'. Then, a plate 4b is advanced by a horizontal air cylinder 7 to feed the thin wire 2'. Next, the front side plate 4 is chucked similarly. At the same time is released the rear side projecting portion 11' by the ascent of the cylinder 5' and retrogressed to the original position by the horizontal cylinder 7. Thereafter, this process is repeated to feed the thin wire 2' intermittently.
