PURPOSE:To attain high resolution and to improve color reproducibility by offset-sampling the color difference components into (n) pieces and by making the subcarrier frequency in neighboring tracks offset each other by 1/2 of the horizontal scanning frequency. CONSTITUTION:The inputted luminance signal Y is divided by a multiplexer 2 into the signals of two channels, and supplied to adders a1 and a2 respectively via filters 3 and 4, and FM modulators 5 and 6. Meanwhile, color difference components B-Y and R-Y are sampled by a sampling frequency fs and an inverse-phase signal in S/H circuits 10-13. As for respective output signals, their higher components are removed by LPFs 14-17 at LPF-17, and supplied to switches SW1 and SW2. The switches SW1 and SW2 are switched at every line so that arrays of the two color signals c1 and c2 are inputted respectively to multiplicators M1 and M2. The said signals are multiplied by the signals of f2 and f3 from a PS modulator to let the color difference components subcarrier frequency in the neighboring tracks offset each other by 1/2fH, and the signals are supplied to the adders a1 and a2. |
