PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a transfer claw and a stop claw by abutting the stop claw of a mobile block on the first thick receiver part on the side surface of the filter plate of a filter press and the transfer claw on the second thin receiver part. CONSTITUTION:When a mobile block 11 is moved forward, a transfer claw 16 is abutted on the second receiver part 9 and lowered against the first spring 23 and passed under the second receiver part 9. Then the claw 16 is disengaged from the second receiver part 9, temporarily moved upward and then abutted on the second receiver part 9 of the second filter plate 7B. At this time, a stop claw 17 is abutted on the first receiver part of a filter plate 7A. When the abutment is detected, the mobile block begins to move backward. Then the transfer claw 16 is abutted on the second receiver part 9 of the filter plate 7A and the block is moved backward. When the filter plate 7 is abutted on a presser board 5 and stopped, the stop claw 17 is pressed on the lower surface of a loose head 37, the stop claw 17 which begins to move forward is disengaged from the loose head 37 and the mobile block moves forward under such conditions.
