PURPOSE:To enable the leading end of a long tape to engage automatically the peripheral surface of a hollow winding core shaft to improve the efficiency of operation by fixing a take-up spool provided on said peripheral surface with an opening to a rotary drive shaft to generate attraction negative pressure in the hollow portion. CONSTITUTION:When a take-up spool 1 is held at a constant position to advance rotary drive shafts 17, 18 in the direction A, and, after a projecting shaft 20 of the shaft 17 enters a hollow portion 4 of a winding core shaft 2 of the spool 1, the spool 1 is sandwiched between collar 19 and a collar plate 24, then the spool 1 is fixedly connected integrally with the shafts 17, 18 by the action of sealing materials 21, 25. Next, after the spool 1 is fixed to between the shafts 17, 18, attraction negative pressure is adapted to act on an intake path 22 in the shaft 17 so that the negative pressure acts on the hollow portion 4 from an intake port 23 to generate attraction negative pressure in an opening window 5. Next, when a tape-like member 11 is unwound while a guide member 11 is pivoted in the direction C, a tongue 29 advances between flanges 9, 10. When the tape-like member 11 reaches the shaft 2, the leading end 30 is adsorbed to the opening window 5 generating negative pressure to provide automization.
