摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance piezoelectric properties to enable a predetermined liquid jet velocity to be obtained even at a low voltage, by setting the axial length of a piezoelectric ceramics pipe to be 9 or more times as large as the length of the outer diameter thereof. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric ceramics pipe 3 is so formed that the axial length thereof is about 9 or more times as large as the outer diameter thereof in length. The piezoelectric ceramics pipe 3 axially shrinks by applying a voltage thereto, whereby a liquid conduit 1 is compressed, resulting in jetting ink out of a jet nozzle 3 set at the tip end thereof. Recovery of the displacement of the piezoelectric ceramics pipe 3 caused by the voltage change leads the liquid conduit 1 to expansively recover, resulting in the negative pressure in the liquid conduit 1 which causes the liquid to be sucked form a liquid fountain to fill the liquid cponduit 1. In this manner, the liquid conduit 1 is repeatedly compressed by the piezoelectric ceramics pipe 3, causing the continuous liquid injection. Additionally, the large shrinkage factor of the piezoelectric seramics pipe 3 allows the liquid jet device to be driven under a low voltage.
