PURPOSE:An electrically-conductive solution suitable as a standard electrically- conductive solution having improved dispersion stability and shelf stability, obtained by adding a surface active agent having a specific structure to an electrically-conductive solution consisting of an electrolyte solution in which organic high polymer compound particles are dispersed. CONSTITUTION:Water containing both (A) an electrolyte such as sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, etc., and (B) a surface active agent shown by the formula i [R is 4-18C alkyl; m is 1 or 2; Y is H or group shown by the formula II (X is H or alkali metal); Z is H when Y is H, and Z is H or group shown by the formula II when Y is group shown by the formula II; n is 4-100], such as polyoxyethylene nonyl phenyl ether, etc., having preferably >=13 HLB is blended with (C) organic high polymer compound particles, preferably particles of polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate, etc., having 0.05-100mum particle diameters obtained preferably by soap-free emulsion polymerization method, to give the aimed electrically-conductive solution containing 0.01-0.5wt% component A, 0.05-20wt% component B and 100-1,000,000 particles/ml.
