METHOD FOR COATING INNER SURFACE OF PIPE

PURPOSE:To reduce the time of dehydration and curing of a latex emulsion by depositing the latex emulsion on the inner surface of a pipe, supplying water- absorptive powder into the pipe by air conveyance and depositing the powder on the deposited latex emulsion. CONSTITUTION:A latex emulsion is deposited on the inner surface of a pipe and the deposited latex emulsion is dehydrated to form a coated film. In this method for coating the inner surface of a pipe, the latex emulsion A is firstly deposited on the inner surface of the pipe and then water-absorptive powder B such as silica gel is supplied into the pipe 1 by air conveyance and deposited on the deposited latex emulsion A. The time of the dehydration and curing of the latex emulsion can be remarkably reduced by such a simple means and a coated film having sufficient strength can be formed.
