PURPOSE:To provide a powdery epoxy resin composition containing a specific epoxy resin and a specific straight-chain dicarboxylic acid hydrazide compound, having excellent storage stability, rapid curability and low-temperature curability and giving a cured coating film having improved flexibility, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective epoxy resin composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of an epoxy resin having >=2 epoxy groups (prefer ably a bisphenol-type epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 1,500-2,000 is used in combination with a cresol novolac epoxy resin and preferably further with a bisphenol-type epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 100-300) with (B) preferably 10-20pts. of a hydrazide compound of a 16-30C straight- chain dicarboxylic acid having at least one double bond (preferably a monohydrazide compound or a dihydrazide compound such as the compound of formula) and, if necessary, adding a cure-accelerator, a filler, a flow- controlling agent, etc., to the mixture.
