PURPOSE:To inhibit the second use of a card that is used once by storing the register number replaced for each operation of an information input means in an advance payment type card as a card specific number together with the input information and producing an advance payment card. CONSTITUTION:A charge card system contains a card reader and a card producer 2. Then the producer 2 produces a card A where a payed amount G and a card specific number S which specifies the card itself are written previously on a magnetic stripe. The card reader contains a measuring instrument 3 and also stores the read condition number R to be compared with the number S in a RAM 15. When the card A is put into the reader, the number S is compared with the number R. Then the instrument 3 is switched on when coincidence is obtained between both numbers S and R. Thus the use of gas, electricity, etc. is allowed. The numbers S and R consist of house numbers SA and RA and card numbers SB and RB. Both numbers SB and RB are replaced. Thus the second use if inhibited with the card that is once used by the card reader. |
