PURPOSE:To attain to enhance the positional detection accuracy of a platen roller and to accurately reproduced recording start position of each color to obtain a good image reduced in color shift, by providing a detection part integrally rotating along with a drive shaft and providing a detector for detecting said detection part. CONSTITUTION:The speed reducing ratio in a speed reduction drive transmission mechanism is set to 1/integer. A first detection part such as the opening part 15a provided to the disc 15 integrally rotating along with a platen roller 3 and a first detector 16 for detecting said detection part are provided while a second detection part such as the opening part 17 a provided to the disc 17 integrally rotating along with a drive shaft 11a and a second detector 18 for detecting said detection part are provided. Further, the comparator 18 comparing the detection signals from the first and second detectors is provided. Therefore, when the second detector detected the second detection part during a time when the first detector detects the first detection part, the positional detection signal of the platen roller is sent out. Because the effect of the detection accuracy of the second detector to the second detection part exerting on the positional accuracy of the platen roller is reduced, the positional accuracy of the platen roller is enhanced and the recording start position of each color is accurately reproduced and color shift is reduced. |
