An electromechanical drive device controlled by a code and comprising a control unit (1) which is situated near the apparatus to be controlled and comprises a code entry interface (2) linked to a comparator (3) which receives moreover the contents of a memory (4) containing an activating code, the said comparator controlling an electrical device for activating the apparatus (5) to be controlled, this device also comprising a monitoring unit (20) situated at a distance, characterized in that the control unit (1) comprises an element (8) for detecting shocks and an element (9) for detecting a wrenching action, these being connected so as to produce a logic OR circuit triggering the emittance of an alarm which is transmitted to the monitoring unit.
