<p>A system for establishing connections between elements integrated on a semiconductor device (14) comprises an interactive visual display (10) and light pen (28) for creating a desired interconnection pattern for the device, the device being displayed on the display. An optical pattern generator (38) utilises video signals from the display to produce an optical pattern corresponding to the interconnection pattern. The device has a layer of photoconductive material, or a layer of self developing dry silver film and electrophotographic film, capable of providing a pattern of conductive paths corresponding to the optical pattern when the device is irradiated using the optical pattern.</p> |
