PURPOSE:To decrease a fact that a transmitter-receiver picks up a noise caused by the operation of a main driving part, by providing the main driving part for driving a transmitting-receiving part, on the outside of one main frame of the transmitting-receiving part, and placing the transmitter/receiver part on the outside of the other main frame. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting-receiving part 16 for transmitting and receiving an original whose both sies supported by main frames 15a, 15b is provided on the center part of a body 11, a main driving part 17 for driving this transmitting-receiving part is provided on the outside of one main frame 15a of this transmitting-receiving part 16, and the transmitter/receiver 74 is placed in the outside of the other main frame 15b of the transmitting-receiving part 16. Also, the transmitting-receiving part 16 having a scanning part 45, in which both sides of the main scanning direction are supported by the main frames 15a, 15b is provided on the center part of the body 11. Also, an opening part 82 inserted through the space 78 of the lower part of the transmitter/receiver 74 in which a printed circuit board in attached to the scanning part 45 and provided with a controlling circuit of transmission and reception is provided on the other main frame 15b.
