Wood working machine, in particular for the working of panel-shaped workpieces such as boring, milling, dowel-insertion etc., with a plane workpiece support, on which side and front stops for the tools are arranged. These stops (33, 34) are arranged at an angle to one another. Arranged at the vertex of the angle is a gripper (13, 14) which is arranged to grasp and release the workpiece (31) on its mutually opposite surfaces. The gripper is arranged on a carriage (4) which is displaceable approximately in the direction of the angle bisector outside the angle.
