PURPOSE:To manufacture a polyacetal forming body of high strength and coefficient of high elasticity and to prevent fibrillation by uniformly compressing a polyacetal forming body within a compressed fluid and by heating and drawing the body. CONSTITUTION:A compressed fluid C which is made of a silicon oil under the pressure of 10-1,000kg/cm<2> is filled in a drawing device B consisting of a cylindrical container 9, and the content is heated from outside by heaters 10 and 10'. A long polyacetal sheet A is paid out from a pay-out roller 1 and it is compressed uniformly by compressed fluid C within the drawing device B and heated up to a drawing temperature by the heaters 10 and 10' and is wound by a winding roller 12 to be drawn to 10-30-fold. As drawing is performed under a uniform pressure, a fibrillation is suppressed, resulting in producing of a polyacetal forming product of high strength and coefficient of high elasticity. The products are suitable for manufacture of ropes, fishing nets, tension members for optical fiber, recording tapes and the like. |
