The invention relates to wood-sawing machines of the type with, arranged directly behind the saws, a wood-removal device with driven, table-like wood support for the non-positive drawing off of the cut wood and with in each case, arranged behind the wood support and laterally displaceable over the region of a number of cut joints, a separating wedge. According to the invention, it is envisaged that the separating wedge 9 is held in the set alignment positions against an elastic force of predetermined size so as to be deflectable away from the machine centre. Using the invention, it is brought about in a constructionally simple manner that, between the separating wedges with side wood inserted, disorders are caused to at least a considerably lesser extent than is the case in the known generic wood-sawing machines. <IMAGE>
