PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency by gripping the 1st and 2nd members by means of grasping pieces conforming to the shape of grasping parts then irradiating laser light from one side of both members in the grasping state. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of chuck craws 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b are respectively installed to a chuck holder 3. rollers 8, 9, 10, 11 are attached to one end of the respective craws. The craws 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b make grasping operation when V-blocks 12, 13 are inserted between the rollers 8, 9 and 10, 11. The V-blocks 12, 13 are normally held open by means of springs 17, 18 and the respective craws are brought into the closed or open state when a slider 21 advances or retreats. Laser welding of the 1st and 2nd parts which are held grasped is executed from one side by such mechanism. The working efficiency for positioning and welding is improved by the above-mentioned method. |
