PURPOSE:To start an opposite process by a signal trap operation independently whether the opposite process receives a packet or not by making a signal received by a communication process into a packet for emergency communication and sending a signal to the opposite process. CONSTITUTION:When urgent communication is required from the main process 16 of a processor 10A to the main process 16 of a processor 10B, for example, an urgent communication request section 17 in the processor 10A calls interprocess signal transmission control section 15 to cause signal trap to a communication process 19 and to start a signal transfer packet forming transmission section 20, which forms a signal transfer packet and sends it to the processor 10B. When the processor 10B recognizes that the communication process 19 produces the signal transfer packet, a signal transfer packet reception processing section 21 starts the processing section of a signal trap routine prepared in advance in the main process 16.
