<p>A self-contained ambulatory monitoring device for monitoring the blood pressure is comprised of a light weight casing containing self-contained electric sources (7, 11), a control microprocessor software (9, 15), a membrane pump, a cylindrical needle valve (24), a piezo-electric microphone (20), a piezo-resistive pressure sensor (21), a signal filter device (22), a value display device, and a blood-pressure cuff. The device is particularly intended to measure in an autonomous, repeated and non-invasive way, according to a predetermined programme, during at least 24 hours, the blood pressure of individuals.</p> |
