Method and device for changing the speed of rotation of a vibrator motor

The invention describes a method and a device for changing the speed of rotation of a vibrator motor, in which vibrations are generated by means of a first, rotating, unbalanced mass. A second unbalanced mass which is also caused to rotate by the vibrator motor, but at a lower angular velocity than the first unbalanced mass, effects fluctuations in the speed of rotation of the vibrator motor. The vibrator motor and the unbalanced masses are incorporated into a massaging device, e.g. a massaging rod. Due to the fluctuations in the speed of rotation the massaging device does not execute monotonic vibrations, and this prevents adaptation to the massaging stimulus and thus enhances the physical sensations during massage.
