<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a useless waiting time due to control program reading by activating previously a terminal equipment with the aid of a timer before data transmission work begins actually between a host computer and the terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When data transmission work before one cycle is terminated in a time t4, immediately a terminal main body 23 outputs an impulsive power source disconnecting signal PW-OFF through an interface in a time t5 without data processing work of the terminal itself. Then a flip-flop 29 is reset through an OR gate 28, and a Q output terminal comes to 'L' level. A transistor 31 is disconnected to release a relay 22, and accordingly power supply to a main body power source circuit 24 is disconnected. When the power supply is interrupted, a power failure detecting circuit 27 acts and outputs a power failure detecting signal DE. Receiving said signal, the terminal main body 23 calculates a waiting time TA until a time T7 comes, and transmits it as a time data TD to a timer setting circuit 32.</p> |
