PURPOSE:To decrease the manufacture cost of a facsimile equipment to miniaturize said equipment and to attain its low cost by constituting integrally a read element group, a light source, an image forming optical system and a heater group. CONSTITUTION:A read element group 2 is provided on an insulation board 1 made of ceramic or the like. In the read element group 2, plural optical sensors reading picture information corresponding respectively to plural lines read in parallel are arranged on a straight line orthogonal in the main scanning direction A with a pitch corresponding to the sub-scanning resolution. A trapezoidal base 5 is adhered to the board 1 so as the expose the photodetecting plane of each optical sensor of the read element group 2 above and under the read element group 2. The faces opposed to the base 5 are formed as V-shape with a slope of nearly 45 deg. to offer convenience for reading of picture of the read element group 2. On a face in parallel with the board 1 on the base 5, a heater group 6 is provided. Further, a light source 3 comprising plural light emitting diodes 31 is provided on the opposed slopes of the base 5 in parallel nearly with the read element group 2. Plural convergent optical transmission bodies are arranged in an array corresponding to the photodetecting face of each optical sensor in the image forming optical system 4.
