PURPOSE:To constitute easily a photoinduction type unmanned transportation system at a moderate cost by installing a reflecting plate on the induction path surface of a vehicle and controlling a controller at a next rank in accordance with the presence or absence of a reflected light beam from the reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:Signals are continuously transmitted to controllers C1-C5 through the reflecting plates Q1-Q5. The controllers C1-C5 cause projectors P1-P5 to emit light, and irradiate irradiated light beams L1-L5 through slits s1-s5. The vehicle W receives them with the aid of photodetecting elements t0-tn. When the received light beams are present, the controllers C1-C5 operate a motor and makes the vehicle to travel. Assuming that the vehicle W travels due to the photoinduction of the irradiated light beam L3, and the irradiated light beam L3 to the reflecting plate Q3 is blocked off, the controller C4 causes the projector P4 to stop emitting light, and stops a following vehicle when it is present.
